THEATRE
Artist Anthony James is a busy designer with a BA in Set Design from ‘The Central School of Speech & Drama’ in London He has worked for several production companies in both television and theatre across the UK.
As designer in theatre Anthony has created sets, costumes, props and backdrops for shows as diverse as William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, the musical ‘Chicago’ and Samuel Becket’s ‘Endgame’ [ For the Edinburgh Festival 2002 ].
From 2007 to 2009 Anthony was the ‘In House’ set designer for the Priory Theatre in Kenilworth. He designed and created sets for ‘Little Women’, ‘The Humble Boy’, ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Breath of Life’, ‘The Wind In the Willows’, ‘See How They Run’, ‘Something To Hide’, ‘Disposing of the Body’ & ‘Ladies In Retirement’. He also designed the sets for the OTFM Productions of ‘Dick Whittington’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at the Bridgehouse Theatre, Warwick.
Anthony first appeared on ‘BLUE PETER’ in 1994. He also worked for the show between 1997 and 1999.

TELEVISION
Anthony has always been interested in television and his work featured on BBC’s ‘Blue Peter’ in 1994.
After college he was one of the first BBC Vision trainees.
His television work includes ITV pantomimes recorded at the Old Vic in London and various BBC productions including again ‘Blue Peter’ where he worked as a design assistant in the late 1990’s.
During the summer of 2008 many of Anthony’s alien creatures were seen wandering around the beautiful countryside of Norfolk. They featured in ITV’s Sunday night drama ‘Kingdom’ during the summer of 2009.
