‘THE PROXIMA TRANSPORTER’ Acrylic on Canvas.
These huge ships are used as deep space supply and hardware transporters. Their ION Pulse engines and durable construction have ensured their continual usage. They have ranged across deep space for over a hundred years. reliable and dependable, and they are still in use today, on many worlds across the known galaxies.
24 x 30 (610 x 762mm) primed canvas. Acrylics are used for the majority of the painting with a small brush and occasionally a permanent marker used for detailing.

Description
In early 2024 I found myself remembering a series of books I borrowed from my local library around 1989/81. They were large glossy hardbacks with an assortment of artwork, collected together and presented as if they were historical accounts of future technologies and conflicts.
I loved them. I managed to find one or two, which I’ve kept ever since. But only now have I decided to try and emulate the incredible art kept between those well sifted pages.
So here are a series of pictures, inspired by the Terran Trade Authority books from the late 1970’s/80s…a bit of Spacey fun!!!
